We are visitors from San Diego, California, found this gem and oh we are so happy with the food. The grilled chicken vermicelli and grilled chicken with rice are soooo good. Hard working - Family owned business, good service. Highly recommend this place.

Pho Ba is everything a good Vietnamese joint should be. Cozy, unpretentious, and not much in the way of service. All good signs, and the food did not disappoint. I came for a banh mi, but was thrown off by the distinct lack of banh mi on the menu, so I ordered one of my other go-tos, a vermicelli bowl, with chicken this time. (They do have banh mi by the way, those are on separate menus taped to the wall. Choices were made, I'm just the messenger.) The noodle bowl was delicious. A great traditional sweet-savory sauce on the chicken, plus some sautéed onions included which was a nice touch. The veggies (the standard lettuce, cucumber, carrot, daikon, cucumber, and bean sprouts) were all fresh, as was the mint - an important touch. The vermicelli were nicely cooked, not overly soft, and the fish sauce was spot on. A really satisfying lunch, and I'll definitely be back for one of those elusive sandwiches. I hear they're good.

It's usually places like these where you can step into a rather quaint restaurant to escape the rain and find amazing food. Pho Ba was lacking nothing but ambiance in its offerings. The pho, along with their egg rolls were absolutely flavorful and perfectly prepared. This will always be a spot outside of the normal tourist areas on my list of places to eat in Seattle.

If you're looking for yummy pho this is the place to go! The price is a little high at $14 for a small bowl, but for the flavor it is very good. The rare beef wasn't chewy and the veggies are don't perfectly if you ask. I also enjoyed the Vietnamese ice coffee.

There's a lot of choice for Vietnamese food in I-District but I think this is my favorite bowl of pho here. The broth is clean, they're generous with their ingredients, offer fresh herbs, and a fair price. The inside is a little dark and old, so don't expect anything fancy. But if you're in it for a good bowl of soup then check it out :)
